What to Expect
The first step in your wellness journey is choosing a therapist. We are honored that you are considering Aspen for your mental health needs. Our therapist are here to help you become the best version of yourself.
Your First Session
Before your first visit, contact our office to schedule an appointment. Download and complete the New Client Packet. You can expect your first session to last approximately 60 to 90 minutes. At this first session we will complete a Mental Health Evaluation with you. This will give you an opportunity to share with us important information about your wellness concerns. When you arrive, we will help you get settled and complete additional paperwork. To ensure that your session begins on time, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. In addition, please bring with you the following items: Completed New Client Packet, list of all medications including daily dosages, insurance information and drivers license or identification card
We understand that circumstances arise and appointments need to be cancelled. When this happens, it is imperative that we receive notice of a change in plans at least 24-hours in advance.
When you give us 24-hour notice, your reserved time can be made available for another patient who has an immediate need or crisis moment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, your appointment may be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. To review our cancellation policy in its entirety, please refer to the New Client Packet. Thank you in advance for understanding this policy and helping us meet counseling needs in our community.
